Job Description
A postdoctoral Associate position is available to study the role of non-coding RNAs (long noncoding RNA and microRNAs) in cancer (prostate and melanoma) metabolism in our laboratory at Sanford-Burnham Medical Discovery Institute, Orlando FL USA. Several putative oncogenic and tumor suppressor non-coding RNAs have been identified (Mazar et al Mol. Cell. Biol 2016, Wei et al., JID 2016) in our laboratory and we will characterize these through in-vitro and in-vivo functional and analytical genomics studies and associate them to cancer metabolism.
Required Experience:
The Ph.D. and/or M.D. Candidate must have a strong background in at least one of the following areas: tumor biology, cell biology, molecular biology, and/or transcriptional/post-transcriptional gene regulation/bioinformatics. Interested and qualified candidates should submit their CV, cover letter and list of references to Ms. Debbie McFadden at dmcfadden@sbpdiscovery.org.
