Columbia University’s Department of Microbiology & Immunology is seeking to increase the representation of research in immunology and host-pathogen interactions. A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Uttiya Basu at Columbia University, Department of Microbiology and Immunology Please find details of the Basu lab in the following websites: http://www.basulabcolumbia.org or, http://microbiology.columbia.edu/faculty/basu.html. The main project will focus on studying the role of long noncoding RNA processing in development of the immune system, autoimmunity and cancer. Prior experience in molecular biology, immunology and ability to work with animal models is essential. Additional expertise in handling high throughput genomics data sets using bioinformatic tools and/or microscopy will be considered as a major advantage. Other qualifications include a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a strong publication track record.
