Positions available – lncRNAs in vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells

Positions are available for a post-doctoral fellow and established, non-tenure track Research Assistant/Associate Professor to study novel long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells (see Pubmed IDs, 245783802744419930584103, and 27856459).

Candidates will work in a highly interactive, state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Research Institute using modern technology including next generation sequencing, biochemical assays for elucidating lncRNA function (eg, PAR-CLIP), and CRISPR editing in mice.

Candidates must have demonstrable expertise in molecular biology and biochemical methods, such as Mass Spectrometry. There is also preference for candidates with expertise in inducible pluripotent stem cells. Post-doctoral candidates will apply for external funding.

Candidates will also be heavily involved in CRISPR editing of mice which this lab has championed since 2013. Send CV and 3 references to j.m.miano@rochester.edu
