A postdoctoral position is available in the Signal Transduction Laboratory at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), a major research institute of the NIH located in the research triangle park of North Carolina, in the group of Dr. Xiaoling Li. NIEHS offers an outstanding research environment and has been constantly rated by The Scientist as one of the best places to work.
This research group combines molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to study the signal transduction that coordinates the gene-environment interaction in biological processes associated with metabolic and tissue homeostasis utilizing the mouse and cultured cells as model systems. They are particular interested in SIRT1, an important cellular metabolic and stress sensor, in regulation of tissue metabolic homeostasis, inflammation and metabolic syndrome, embryonic stem cell biology and animal development, and tumor metabolism and tumorigenesis (For more information, please visit:
The current opening is seeking to recruit a self-motivated scientist to work with a biostatistics group to study the role of LncRNA in tumorigenesis in cultured cells and mouse models. Applicants must have a doctoral levels degree with less than five years of postdoctoral research experience. Experience in cancer research, RNA biology, and chromatin remodeling is desirable.
Please send the cover letter, CV and a list of three references to Dr. Xiaoling Li through email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
